What Each Service Entails
Children aged birth to three with certain levels of developmental delays or established conditions, and their families, are eligible for the ITP (NC Infant-Toddler Program).
An evidence-based parenting program designed to help parents and kids develop happier family relationships, improve mental health outcomes, and help decrease youth alcohol and drug use, violence, and delinquent behavior. We provide interventions for parents who need assistance with child-rearing, including tips and strategies to prevent child abuse and neglect.
A treatment modality that uses demonstrated techniques that are designed to help produce changes in behavior, slowly decreasing the frequency in the occurrences of the negative behavior in question, creating plans, etc.
A structured program of group addiction activities and services that is provided at an outpatient program designed to assist adolescent beneficiaries to begin recovery and learn skills for recovery maintenance.
Clinically approved treatments that aim to help a person identify and change troubling emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. We conduct thorough CCAs (comprehensive clinical assessments) which provide the necessary and relevant clinical data and recommendations that are analyzed, synthesized, and carefully deliberated when determining the correct diagnosis and recommended type of counseling. A crisis plan is also established.
Periodic support and relief to the primary caregiver(s) from the responsibility and stress of caring for children ages three (3) to twenty-one (21) with mental health, developmental disabilities or substance use/addiction service needs, and for adults 21 and over with developmental disabilities. A person-centered plan (PCP) is developed for this service with an individual’s vision for a preferred life and takes the concept of self-determination from theory to practice. A crisis plan is also utilized.
A psycho-therapeutic approach for anger prevention and control with clinically proven techniques and strategies.
The course introduces common mental health challenges for youth, teens, and adults; reviews typical adolescent development, and teaches a 5-step action plan for how to help people in both crisis and non-crisis situations.
Certified training that allows citizens to develop skills necessary to deal with emergency and non-emergency situations. Local businesses and organizations can schedule trainings for professional development and certification.
This service is designed to serve children who, as a result of their mental health or substance use disorder treatment needs, are unable to benefit from participation in academic or vocational services at a developmentally appropriate level in a traditional school or work setting. The provider implements therapeutic interventions that are coordinated with the client’s academic or vocational services.
A short-term service for acutely mentally ill persons which provides a broad range of intensive therapeutic approaches. This service is designed to prevent hospitalization or to serve as an interim step for those leaving an inpatient facility.
“Hands-on” individualized assistance with everyday activities that are required by a client with Severe and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI) in order to live independently in the community.(This service is available for adults).
Our agency contracts with Brightshadows Telepsychiatry based in Hampton, VA, in order to provide psychiatric medication management- prescribing, monitoring, and adjusting medications for mental health disorders. It is a crucial aspect of psychiatric treatment and involves a collaborative approach between the psychiatrist, the patient, and sometimes other healthcare providers.
